Infinite Crisis #5 Back to Print
|
As INFINITE CRISIS nears its stunning conclusion, DC Comics announces that the sold out fifth issue is going back to press for a second printing.
INFINITE CRISIS #5 (JAN068182) reprints the story by Geoff Johns, with art by Phil Jimenez, Jerry Ordway, Ivan Reis, Andy Lanning and Art Thibert. The new printing features a pencils-only version of the issue> '> s cover by George Pérez.
"It's great to be involved in a project like Infinite Crisis on a professional level, but the fan in me is just as thrilled to see the story unfold issue by issue as well," says Ordway. "On the original Crisis on Infinite Earths, I was saddened by the loss of the Earth-2 Superman to DC's active continuity, as he is such a vital link back to Joe Shuster's original visual concept. Being able to draw this Superman again in such an emotional sequence (scripted by Geoff) has been tremendous fun. News of the brisk sell-through is like the icing on the cake!"
The INFINITE CRISIS #5 Second Printing is available for order now and is scheduled to arrive in stores on March 22 with a cover price of $3.99 U.S.

Turner Variant for Superman/Batman #26
|
Joining the lineup of stellar talent contributing to SUPERMAN/BATMAN #26, artist Michael Turner has created a second cover for this issue. The issue is scheduled to arrive in stores with two Turner covers in an approximate split of 50%.
“Working from my son, Sam’s plot, an unbelievable talent roster (all of whom are donating their fees and royalties to The Sam Loeb College Scholarship Fund) have worked their collective buns off to bring you a story that’s fun, wild and very emotional — not unlike Sam was,†says writer Jeph Loeb. “Now, DC has added a second variant cover by Michael Turner. What's it look like? That’s a secret! It'll rock your world, believe me, but nobody will see it until it's in stores.â€

After the INFINITE CRISIS and before One Year Later, the DCU spent a year without Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. A year in which those heroes were needed more than ever as the fate of the world hung in the balance. Who stood up in their absence? And who sat out?
The story of DC's most eventful year ever can now be told as four of the hottest writers in comics — Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, Greg Rucka, Mark Waid — deliver an unprecedented weekly tale of death, danger, romance, intergalactic terror and the never-ending, universal meaning of heroism. Joined by storyteller Keith Giffen and cover artist J.G. Jones, 52 features art for the first month by Joe Bennett, Ruy Jose, and Jack Jadson.
Also, starting in Week #2: "The History of the DC Universe," a 10-part backup feature by Dan Jurgens and Art Thibert that takes you on a tour through the legendary past of the DCU.
52: A year without Superman; a year without Batman; a year without Wonder Woman...but not a year without heroes.
